An under sink water filter system that's simple to install and gives you easy access to cleaner and healthier water. The Energy Plus Water Filter is a unique filter system that sits below a sink and provides a range of fantastic benefits. Not only will the water filter system provide very high levels of contaminant removal, but it also transforms the filtered water into structured, alkaline water, rich in antioxidant properties. The Energy Plus is an excellent option for everyone looking for high-quality health-giving water at a cost-effective price.
Supplied with a tap or without a tap so you can use your own filter tap or a three-way tap.
At Water for Health, we understand the importance of clean water for our bodies. However, we also understand that cleanliness is only one aspect of the characteristics of water that is going to enhance our health.
Healthy water should have certain qualities to have the most positive effects on our health and body. Water should have an alkaline pH, it should have antioxidant properties and, critically important for absorption and cell health, it should have a good structure. Using cutting-edge filtration and advanced bioceramics, these qualities are now easy to add to your water supply, meaning you have clean and health-giving water from your own tap - This is what sets the Energy Plus Water Filter System apart from other products.
The Water Filter System is fitted directly under the sink, whether in your kitchen or workplace kitchen, to provide healthy filtered water on tap, which you can use for your drinking water, cooking water, and washing fruits and vegetables.
It's never been easier to reap the benefits of health-promoting water for you, your pets and even your houseplants; it's as simple as turning on the tap.
Filter 1: Sediment Removal
The sediment removal filter will filter out particulates down to as low as 0.1 microns, meaning there is a barrier to rust or fine particles in the water and to certain harmful bacteria. This type of filter also acts as a very effective barrier against microplastics which are an increasing concern in our water supplies. The primary concern is the presence of fibers, which are typically larger than 5 microns in size. You can see the removal rates for the various groups of contaminants in the chart opposite.
Filter 2: Carbon Filter Technology
Another piece of cutting edge technology inside the Energy Plus is a unique carbon block filter, developed and manufactured in the US. This filter combines different carbon types, zeolites, and polymers, resulting in very high removal rates of heavy metals such as lead, chlorine, fluoride, chloramines, herbicides, pesticides, and hormonal and pharmaceutical residues.
Filter 3: Improved Water Structure
After moving through the first two filters, the water is then processed through filter number 3, which helps improve the water structure through the use of the ceramic ball filter media. These bioceramics are compositions of natural minerals and crystals that change the properties of the water as it passes through them by releasing small amounts of beneficial minerals. This technology marks a significant advance in the natural treatment of drinking water as without alkaline minerals in the water, it is impossible to have good water structure.
Research is now demonstrating that water structure is essential for our cellular health, which is alarming as most water consumed from public supplies or existing water filters does not have a good structure.
Filter 4. Creating Alkaline Water
The final filter also uses bioceramic technology to increase the pH level to give alkaline water. However, the bioceramics also result in the release of small amounts of molecular hydrogen into the water giving the water antioxidant properties. Over the last decade, there has been extensive research into the health benefits of molecular hydrogen, with over 1,000 scientific papers published. Much of that is based on drinking water with molecular hydrogen in it.
Although the Energy Plus under sink water filter is very effective at filtering and enhancing water quality, it is still a relatively compact system that can comfortably fit under most kitchen sinks. It measures 40cm x 40cm x 15cm and does not require a storage tank or an electrical supply.
The filter system is supplied with a dedicated filter tap to be installed in the corner of the sink or the worktop adjacent. It is also possible to connect to a three-way tap which gives you hot, cold and filtered water meaning the system can adapt to your needs. Easy to install using the supplied instructions, you can DIY. Alternatively, you can use a local plumber, who should take less than two hours to install.
The Energy Plus Under Sink Water Filter is designed to run at a flow rate of approximately two litres per minute. At that flow rate, the typical pH of the filtered water is in the range of 8.5 to 9.0.
However, please note the Energy Plus is not designed to remove hardness from the water. If you have very high hardness levels, this can be reduced by adding a special additional filter to the system. However, many Energy Plus systems are operating in areas where there is hard water without any problems.
Filters 1 and 2 are certified by International Safety Certification Body NSF along with the advanced bioceramic filter media used in filters 3 and 4.
Replacement filters for the Energy Plus Under Sink Water Filter can be found here,
The Energy Plus Water Filter is much more cost-effective than buying bottled water. After the initial purchase, it works out at less than 5p per litre of health-giving tap water. You can read comments from previous purchasers at the Feefo reviews link below.
The Energy Plus Under Sink system's filters should be changed once per year for regular family usage. They will typically treat 4,500 litres or 990 gallons of water (approximately 12 litres per day). In addition to being the ideal drinking water filter for kitchen sinks, the system is also perfectly suited to office kitchen use.
You can buy the Energy Plus with or without the filter tap, depending on your needs. Currently, we do not ship the Energy Plus outside of the UK or the Republic of Ireland.

The Energy Plus Tap |
The Energy Plus can be supplied with a tap or you can purchase your own 3 way tap.
The system has four cartridges, each of which plays a unique part in filtering and enriching your drinking water. They are:
1. A special ultrafiltration membrane cartridge. This filters down to 0.1 microns and removes silt, rust, colloids, proteins, bacteria, viruses, pathogenic protozoa and cysts from the water. It is a physical barrier that does not use any chemicals.
2. The 2nd block filter absorbs various organic and inorganic substances, chlorine and the more challenging to remove chloramine. Its dense pore structure and vast surface area are ideally suited to improving taste, odour and colour, eliminating chemicals and fluoride.
It is a proprietary matrix comprising at least two types of activated carbon, combined with proprietary Zeolite minerals, structurally bound with polymers into a highly porous block filter form.
Performance Data of Filter 2
• 1 Micron Nominal
• Chloramine reduction >99%
• Lead reduction >99%
• Chlorine reduction >99%
• Fluoride reduction 99%
• VOC - Volatile Organic Compounds >98%
• Metals – Aluminium, Iron, Mercury, Nickel & Zinc >99%
• MTBE reduction >97%
• Glyphosate reduction >99.9%
• Pharmaceutical compounds reduction >99%
• Nitrates reduction >92%
• Herbicides reduction >99%
3. The 3rd filter cartridge is composed of a combination of three different types of bioceramic natural mineral balls. These advanced bioceramics alkalise the water, change its Oxidation Reduction Potential, lend it antioxidant properties and improve the water structure. They also have an antibacterial effect, preventing the growth of harmful bacteria in the filter cartridge. Before the water enters this 3rd cartridge, it will have a slightly acidic pH (as do many water filter systems). The pH is typically raised to a pH of 8.5 to 9.5, the ideal range for everyday drinking water.
4. The final-stage filter uses a combination of bioceramics to improve water structure. These bioceramic minerals emit very low levels of subtle, far-infrared energy and help to improve water absorbability. Suitable structured water with a negative Oxidation Reduction Potential supplies the body with beneficial negative ions. The water finally goes through an additional stage with granulated activated carbon to remove any unpleasant taste or odour.
The exhaustive 4-stage process creates water that has undergone high levels of filtration and has good energy through the effect of bioceramic media. The bioceramics also stimulate the release of active hydrogen.
The filters used in your Energy Plus need to be replaced annually to ensure that the system works at peak efficiency.
The Energy Plus filters can be recycled.
Filter 1 can be put in plastic recycling.
Filters 2, 3 & 4. The contents can be put in a compost or garden recycling bin or can be sprinkled on your garden. The plastic outer cover can then be rinsed out and put in a plastic recycling bin
Fitting the Energy Plus is a relatively simple job. Aside from cutting a hole in the rim of your sink or countertop for the tap, all you need to do is connect the existing feed pipe of your cold water tap, then connect the pipework supplied from the filter to the drinking water tap, as per the diagram below:
The Energy Plus Water Filter measures 40 x 40 x 15 cm. It fits easily under the sink without taking up too much space. No electrical connection is necessary. It comes complete with the drinking water tap shown.
In order to ensure the Energy Plus can properly alkalise, filter, and enrich your water, you must take care to replace the filters on an annual basis by following these instructions:

Q. Does the Energy Plus under sink water filter soften the water?
A. No, the Energy Plus does not soften the water. If ceramics were included to soften the water, then the water would be acidic
Q: What change in pH can I typically expect?
A: If your mains tap water has a pH of 7.5 (typical for many areas of the country), the pH of the filtered water will typically be in the range of 8.5 to 9.5. This is an ideal PH range to be drinking daily.
Q. What is the best way to test the PH of the water from the Energy Plus?
A. The PH of water should be tested using a PH meter or PH test colour reagent. PH test strips do not give an accurate reading of the PH of water despite what some may say.
Q: How frequently do I need to change the filter cartridges?
A: We would recommend that the filter cartridge be changed annually. They will typically treat 4,500 litres or 990 gallons of water (approximately 12 litres per day)
Q. Does the Energy Plus filter out fluoride?
A. Yes, the Energy Plus filters out >99% of fluoride, and has very high levels of filtration of other contaminants.
Q: What beneficial minerals are added to the filtered water?
A: The Energy Plus adds beneficial alkaline minerals (potassium, magnesium, and calcium). The result? clean, smooth drinking water with an alkaline PH.
Q: What safety standards do the filter minerals comply with?
A: Our Energy Plus Under the Sink Water Filter uses Biocera bioceramics. Biocera have received certification from NSF, the international certification body involved in safety standards, for their bioceramic filter media. To our knowledge they are the only company to have received this certification for their bioceramic minerals
Q: Can the used filter cartridges be recycled?
A: Yes. Filter 1 can be put in the plastic recycling. Filters 2, 3 & 4 (contents) can be put in the compost/ garden recycling bin or can be sprinkled on your garden. The plastic outer cover can then be rinsed out and put in plastic recycling bin
Q: Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) content. Does it matter?
A: Using a water filter will generally not reduce the TDS level. TDS measures the concentration of all inorganic and organic elements dissolved in water. A high or low TDS does not mean healthier, it is merely a measurement of total mineral content. The specific minerals contained in the water determine if it is healthy or harmful. There are minerals which help maintain a healthy body, and there are others that cause harm.
